Updating the SP and BIOS

• Shutdown the machine in question from the OS.
• Login to another machine with java installed.

share -F nfs -o ro /v40z

java -jar /v40z/2/update_server/V2.2.0.6/updateServer.jar -f /v40z/sw_images/sp/spbase/V2.3.0.15/install.image -p 50000

On the SP:

sp add mount -r 193.62.196.15:/v40z -l /mnt
platform set power state off -f
sp update flash all -i 193.62.196.15 -p 50000

The SP will update and then reboot. Login again and run:

platform set power state off -f 
platform set os state update-bios /mnt/sw_images/platform/firmware/bios/V2.33.7.2/bios.sp

The server will update and then power off. Login to the sp:

sp set locatelight blink
sp delete mount /mnt
platform set power state on

In the BIOS:

Set TLB to 'Enable'
Set serial console speed to 57,600
Set boot order: cd/floppy, MBA, MBA, network, hard drive.
